WMS Health Awareness Month

In the month of June the WMS are participating in Health awareness. Our WMS will have a 5K Walk and Health Expo on June 17, 2017 (note: some areas walk dates may differ). The theme:

Following God’s Course for a Holy Nation”. It’s important we are aware and take care of our physical health, following the course for a Holy Nation that we may declare the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a Holy Nation, God’s

special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

Let us congratulate our very own Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Clement W. Fugh. He will become the next president of the Bishop Council. The General Board Meeting and Council of Bishops Investiture Service will convene on June 19-21, 2017.

As we congratulate our Bishop who is an outstanding father, let us remember all the loving compassionate fathers on this Father’s Day!

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; Psalm 103:13

Heavenly Father we thank you for your favor you bestowed on Bishop Fugh. Heavenly Father make your face to shine upon him and be gracious to him, lift up your countenance upon him and give him your peace. (Numbers 6: 24-26). Heavenly Father we ask you to empower each participant who participates in the 5K walk. Help us Heavenly Father to be more proactive in taking care of our physical body you gave us to housed our spiritual body that we may declare the praises of you, Heavenly Father we praise your Name, you have called us out of darkness into your Holy Nation. Heavenly Father ask you to give every father and father to be your strength to guide him, your power to help him stand, Your ear for hearing Your word for his speech, your eye to see Your vision, Your hand to protect him from all harm and danger. Heavenly Father we ask you to help him be all that you called him to be. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
